ABOUT KIK

Kentfield Invests in Kids (KIK), the Kentfield Schools Foundation, is a parent-driven, volunteer non-profit organization in the Greenbrae-Kentfield school community. The foundation raises funds, while building community, to help support the high-quality education our children receive in the Kentfield School District.

KIK MISSION

The Kentfield Schools Foundation provides financial support for Bacich Elementary and Kent Middle, public schools of the Kentfield School District, by raising funds to support and maintain consistently excellent educational opportunities for district students. We strive to ensure that each child may reach his or her potential.

KIK VALUES

While fundraising and building community, KIK’s Values encompass the following:

  • Inclusivity
  • Respect
  • Transparency
  • Gratitude for our Students, Team, District, and Community
  • Programs for students to reach personal potential
  • Teamwork to meet challenges and to be a steadfast organization for our community
  • Innovation, creativity, and progress

KIK PURPOSE

KIK raises funds generously donated by Bacich and Kent families, local businesses and community members to help bridge the gap in the cost to educate each student in Kentfield School District. The over $1.4 million KIK Annual Contribution represents about 6% of the KSD annual budget. As dollars are raised, KIK disperses funds in four installments throughout the current school year to be used for Bacich and Kent schools.

With the money raised, KIK directly funds the library, art, music, drama, idea lab/ maker studio and woodshop programs at Bacich and Kent for the benefit of 100% of our students.

WHAT WE DO WHAT WE DON’T DO
  • We invest in kids
  • We raise money for these programs to serve 100% of students.
  • We are an independent, parent-volunteer organization, separate from the school district.
  • We promote community through family programs.
  • We partner with the school district in the best interest of our students.
  • We are grateful for our generous community.
  • We don’t develop school policy.
  • We don’t negotiate with the teachers’ union.
  • We don’t have involvement in district HR decisions.
  • We don’t develop or manage the KSD budget.
  • We don’t organize the school lunch, library, or school volunteer program (see KSPTA).
  • We don’t want to limit our potential!

Let's KIK This Together!

Thank you to our families, business partners + community for your support
