ABOUT KIK
Kentfield Invests in Kids (KIK), the Kentfield Schools Foundation, is a parent-driven, volunteer non-profit organization in the Greenbrae-Kentfield school community. The foundation raises funds, while building community, to help support the high-quality education our children receive in the Kentfield School District.
KIK MISSION
The Kentfield Schools Foundation provides financial support for Bacich Elementary and Kent Middle, public schools of the Kentfield School District, by raising funds to support and maintain consistently excellent educational opportunities for district students. We strive to ensure that each child may reach his or her potential.
KIK VALUES
While fundraising and building community, KIK’s Values encompass the following:
- Inclusivity
- Respect
- Transparency
- Gratitude for our Students, Team, District, and Community
- Programs for students to reach personal potential
- Teamwork to meet challenges and to be a steadfast organization for our community
- Innovation, creativity, and progress
KIK PURPOSE
KIK is committed to raising $1 million for the students and schools in the Kentfield School District (KSD) for the 2022-22 school year.
KIK raises funds generously donated by Bacich and Kent families, local businesses and community members to help bridge the gap in the cost to educate each student in KSD. The $1 million KIK Annual Fundraising Goal represents approximately 5% of the KSD annual budget. As dollars are raised, KIK disperses funds in four installments throughout the current school year to be used for Bacich and Kent schools.
With these funds, KIK helps to support educational opportunities and offers programs to benefit 100% of students at Bacich and Kent.

PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE
Dear KSD Community,
Welcome to KIK, our Kentfield Schools Foundation. We have been supporting our schools for over 40 years. As we head into this school year, we turn to our community to band together and support each other and our children. We look to our schools to provide the highest quality education for our children in the safest possible environment—and they need our help to achieve this.
We are fortunate to be part of a supportive community that values excellent education and opportunities for every student. Our foundation and spirit of giving is strong because of our donors and our community. Thank you all for your dedication and commitment to our students and schools.
With gratitude,
Kira and Dirk Hallemeier
